Consultants gain insight into low carbon technologies
A group of consulting engineers recently took advantage of the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how low carbon technologies and innovative products designed to improve indoor air quality are being applied in Denmark. Organised by SAV, the trip included visits to major manufacturers and a low carbon/low-temperature heat network scheme – as well as participating in a CPD-accredited seminar and energy workshop. The manufacturers included Danfoss, a market leader in FlatStation heat interface units for heat networks; EC Power, one of Europe’s leading CHP manufacturers and AirMaster, a specialist in improving indoor air quality with low energy, demand-controlled ventilation systems.
“The trip was very successful, providing an insight into how technologies that have been tried and tested in Denmark can be applied to UK projects. To that end, we were also able to demonstrate how SAV has been challenging low carbon systems in the UK, by adapting and optimising the Danish model”
