Heat networks guide for building owners and developers
A new publication from CIBSE and the Association for Decentralised Energy provides a useful guide to heating networks for building owners and developers.As well as explaining what heating networks are, and the potential benefits they offer, the new guide covers all of the stages of the development cycle of a project and how to use the Heat Networks: Code of Practice for the UK in contracts and tender documents.
In exploring the potential benefits of heat networks the guide considers the economic and environmental implications, as well as compliance with national legislation and local planning regulations. This is followed by an overview of how the Code of Practice is applied through feasibility studies, design, construction, commissioning and operation.
