The SAV 4 Series Monolink UMS is designed to cost-effectively satisfy the metering and billing requirements for applications where the cooling load in the dwelling is relatively low and/or there is limited space and hence a Direct Cooling solution is preferred over an Indirect Cooling Interface Unit (CIU).

Commonly, these comprise of an “H” shaped flushing by-pass with binder points, isolation valves, strainer, drain point and a Metering Station.

Where there are multiple terminal units the SAV 4 Series Monolink UMS may also comprise of a manifold to feed each terminal unit. These will typically have a complimentary Pressure Independent Control Valve (PICV) installed for a dynamic hydraulic balancing and ON/OFF control. For constant volume systems, a static balancing is achieved using a commissioning set (DPCV and Double Regulating Flow Valves) in the flow leg of the SAV 4 Series Monolink UMS.

The integrated Ultrasonic Metering Station (UMS) allows for verification of commissioning, ongoing monitoring, and the billing of energy consumption for the terminal units.

Furthermore, the Metering Station will allow for the option of a Pay as You Go (PAYG) valve, which can be connected to the automated KURVE energy billing web-app.
